esport feasibility Case Study

Utah State University

What We Did

Esport Supply worked with Utah State University to put together a feasibility study showcasing why bringing esports to their campus is important. The feasibility study covered market feasibility, community feedback, local area assessment, facility recommendations, and financial feasibility. The study was then presented to Utah State’s administration.

Throughout the study, a survey was distributed that engaged the entire student body via email, doing so allowed Esport Supply to evaluate the preexisting esports and gaming interest at Utah State University and it was clear that there was a strong desire from students for an esports space. The survey also revealed the interest in community and competitive usage and barriers that blocked students from participating such as lack of space, lack of equipment, and time management.

the feasibility study allowed Utah State University to gain a better understanding of esports on campus and the resources it needs to grow.

We have been very busy working with key stakeholders on campus to identify a location to renovate for our Esports Arena. The information was very helpful in our efforts to tell the story of Esports at USU and future opportunities.” – Daniel Lawrence Director of Campus Recreation
